We are delighted to announce CSD have been appointed on behalf of Wates Construction to provide the detailed MEP Design from Stage 3 through to Stage 6 for Joseph Norton Academy in Huddersfield.

Kirklees Council and Wellspring Academy Trust are working in partnership to create a purpose built special school for Joseph Norton Academy, with 132 places for children and young people, who have an Education Health and Care Plan with Social, Emotional and Mental health (SEMH) difficulties.

The development will create additional special school places for pupils aged 4-18 years, Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5, within a high quality, fit for purpose building that can support the wide range of needs of pupils and introducing co-education opportunities for a wider age range.

The design responds to themes of climate resilience biodiversity enhancements and NZCiO.

Work is expected to commence in Summer 2025.
