Scope:
The MEP Design was on behalf of Willmott Dixon Construction at the University of Leeds, the main function of the building was to provide a Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Facility for the University campus, which included indoor Sports Halls, 25m 8 Lane Swimming Pool, Fitness Suite with state-of-the-art equipment, Squash Courts and Climbing Call.
The MEP systems included heating cooling ventilation, domestic water services and drainage. Primary heating and cooling systems where supplied from the Universities external central energy centre. The electrical design consisted of Lighting Small Power, Mains and Sub Main distribution throughout; this was achieved by the design of new rising Cable Distribution and Under-floor Bus Bar Systems, along with Data, Fire Alarm, Access Control, DDA Systems such as Disabled Refuge and Induction Systems.
